The sixth release in The Celt series showcases a distinctive take on peated single malt. Distilled in 2016 and matured for 10 years in a single 225 litre Anima Negra Mallorcan wine cask, this limited release brings together smoky Irish whiskey with the rich character of Mediterranean wine. The influence of French oak, mineral salinity and dark fruit creates a unique balance that sets this edition apart from previous releases. Bottled at a slightly higher strength of 48% ABV, it offers added depth while remaining beautifully approachable.

On the nose, gentle bonfire smoke mingles with fresh peppercorn, mineral brine and earthy notes, complemented by hints of blackcurrant. The palate is smooth yet full of character, revealing layers of iodine smoke, seaweed and dried leather alongside bright orchard fruits and fresh lemon zest. A medium length finish leaves a lasting impression of pronounced peat smoke, mineral notes and lingering citrus peel.
