Bottled at a hefty 57.1%, it is fruity and smokey on the nose with notes of smoked ham, raspberry jam, and wine gums on the palate with a lengthy finish.

Springbank 13 Year Old Local Barley is an annual release made from barley grown in or around Campbeltown. Each year a local farmer is commissioned to continue producing this ‘grain to glass’ limited edition. Different farms, barley varieties, cask maturations and length of time the whisky spends in the casks from one batch to create a unique tasting experience every time. This release takes barley from the Glencraigs farm where the Belgravia variety was used. Maturation has been done in 60% bourbon and 40% sherry casks. It boasts a chewy, oily texture with stellar peppery and malty notes, then strawberries, brandy schnapps, and parma violets, with a lovely bit of smoke in the finish...
