Celtic Cask Se 1991

This is a double distilled single malt, but curiously it comes from a distillery more famed for triple distilled malts. It spent around four months in one of our Anima Negra red wine casks which has added to the fruitiness and spiciness of the whiskey. Aromas of fig jam, dried apricots, mace, citrus and pineapple. On the palate it is fruity and densely textured with flavours of apricots, exotic spices and dried fruits. Warming and spicy on the finish.

An exceptional single malt which marks the start of the final chapter of Celtic Whiskey Shop's highly aged single malts from this distillery and also those from the 1990s (a decade that has become synonymous with quality and uniqueness).
