Bushmills 16 Year Old Three Wood is matured in three different types of cask, each of which contributes extra nuances to what is destined to become a classic Irish malt. The whiskey is initially aged separately for 15 years in both bourbon and sherry casks then these are married together into port wood for around a year of extra finishing to produce this truly iconic Irish whiskey. This tasting pack offers samples of each step of the process with Bushmills Single Malt Cask Strength Bourbon Cask, Bushmills Single Malt Cask Strength Oloroso Cask, Bushmills Single Malt 16 Year-Old Cask Strength Port Finished, and then finishes with a sample of the complete Bushmills 16 Year-Old Single Malt Three Wood!
